Description

Summary: The donor engagement coordinator supports the moves management process across a variety of development efforts. Supporting donor cultivation, stewardship, special events, and volunteer engagement, the donor engagement coordinator is an integral part of the resource development team. By fostering the relationships between donors and the organization, the position will help the organization widen and deepen its donor base. The donor engagement coordinator reports to the chief development officer.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:
Donor Cultivation
-Track donor data and trends, internally and externally, to inform the organization’s annual development plan
-Facilitate donor engagement strategies such as Club tours and recognition opportunities for targeted donors and donor groups
-Work with resource development team to coordinate strategic community partnerships
-Prepare and track donor agreements

Donor Stewardship
-Support the chief development officer in donor stewardship and communication
-Strengthen the organization’s capacity for targeted, high-yield stewardship opportunities

Special Events
-Attend and support special events across the resource development department, with an emphasis on special event follow-up strategy

Volunteer Engagement
-Facilitate strategic relationships, outreach, communication, and stewardship between Club donors, volunteers, and staff
-Identify and facilitate volunteer opportunities for donors, community groups, and other Club constituents
-Support the volunteer-to-donor pipeline
-Track volunteer participation and coordinate volunteer stewardship and follow-up strategy

Other Responsibilities
-Create and support opportunities, systems, and expectations that promote an organization culture of human-centeredness
-Screen phone calls and field resource development-related requests for the chief development officer
-Pivot with flexibility to support resource development administrative tasks as requested

Skills Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Relationship and volunteer management
-Clear understanding of non-profit financial and gift tracking processes
-Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire internal and external constituents across the organization including staff, Club members, donors, volunteers, community partners, vendors, and others
-A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team, and to take initiative, manage multiple tasks and projects, and meet deadline-driven projects
-Strong organization and management skills
-Comprehensive knowledge of gift processing and acknowledgement practices
-Working knowledge of MS Office applications
-Publisher, Adobe software (or similar programs), Canva, and Abila Fundraising 50 (or similar development software) is a plus
-Ability to work evenings and weekends as appropriate

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
