Description
Market Central is seeking individuals who are interested in raising awareness of the benefits and services brought by farmers markets to communities. Through meetings with neighborhood associations, community centers, and organizers, the partner will gather feedback on whether farmers markets could meet community needs to access fresh produce, develop food-oriented businesses, and foster social and cultural experiences.
Job Duties
Information on the benefits of farmers markets will be shared with the Community Engagement Partners to prepare them for meaningful conversations with community members.
Skills Required
- Good communication skills, able to share information clearly
- Self- motivated
- Available to attend community/neighborhood meetings
- Comfortable in social settings
Work Schedule
This is a grant-funded position for approximately 6 months, 2-3 hours/week meeting with neighbors and recording feedback.
