Financial Leadership in Practice (FLIP)

Join CNE, in partnership with the Obici Healthcare Foundation and David Deaton of MindSalt, for this innovative and interactive program that brings leadership teams together to learn and develop strategies that strengthen the link between the financial process and community impact. Over the course of a two-day workshop and two individual organizational coaching sessions, participants will:

  • Learn to link the financial, programmatic, operational, and leadership efforts of your organization together to develop a richer understanding of your organization’s impact to strengthen how financial information is used to support mission-focused decision-making.
  • Gain a better understanding of efforts that organizational leaders account for and allocate resources toward effectively fulfilling the mission today while also reinforcing sustainability moving forward.
  • Work with your leadership team and other peers to develop insights for implementing change and strengthening the financial systems, processes, and communications that support organizational success.
  • Develop insights, action items, and next steps for your organization.

WORKSHOP

This two-day workshop covers the core elements of financial leadership as it pertains to strategy and programming, including both theoretical and practical elements. Workshops will be held in person in the Suffolk area (location TBD).

  • Monday, June 17th from 9am–4pm
  • Tuesday, June 18th from 9am–4pm

ORGANIZATIONAL COACHING

Coaching allows your organization to dig into its most pressing financial issues. FLIP participants can invite other staff or board members to participate. The coach will meet with the organization for two virtual one-hour individualized consulting sessions. Dates and times to be arranged with the coach.

EXPECTATIONS

This in-depth program is for leadership teams comprised of at least two individuals (e.g. board members, executive directors, senior finance, and program leadership).

Thanks to the generous support of the Obici Healthcare Foundation, program fees are subsidized and there is no cost to participate.
