Karen Klick of Klick Consulting partners with clients to advance their missions, combining supportive frameworks and creative solutions with practical and grounded experience. Before she began consulting in January 2020, Karen served mission-driven, social purpose businesses for 24 years, including as Deputy Director with Piedmont Housing Alliance, Co-Director of the Fair Housing Partnership at the Fair Housing Council of Greater Washington (now Equal Rights Center), and attorney for a civil rights law firm. As a nonprofit professional, she provided leadership and innovation in strategy and planning, program design and evaluation, resource development, capacity building, and team support and development. Karen earned an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University with a capstone project on Program Impact and Evaluation, and she is a graduate of VCDC’s Mission Elevation/Nonprofit Sustainability Challenge program that focused on achieving excellence in financial sustainability and mission impact. Karen is a certified coach through the Academy of Creative Coaching and a member of the International Coaching Federation. She earned her JD from American University’s Washington College of Law and majored in Economics at the University of Virginia. Karen currently serves on the Board of New Hill Development Corporation as Vice President and has also served on the Board of The Arc of the Piedmont.
