JABA’s Adult Care Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN). This is a professional role providing hands on nursing practice to clients served by the JABA’s Adult Care Center Program at Hillsdale location. Must possess skills to conduct thorough nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans for client and caregivers towards optimum levels of health independence and self-care; fulling these duties in collaboration with caregivers when appropriate. Position also coordinates with clients’ primary care physicians and works as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with ACC Manager, Assistance Manager and Certified Nursing Assistants. Experience working with dementia patient is essential for the positon.

Skills Required

Candidate must have current license to practice in Virginia. Minimum of two years’ experience in geriatric and or home care nursing with emphasis on dementia care. Computer knowledge is necessary. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge of documentation requirements and methods, including those required for Medicaid, VA and VDA. Experience in insurance reimbursement issues.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, 25 hours per week.
