Description
C4K (Computers4Kids) combines mentoring and technology to prepare youth for brighter futures.
We are looking for a self-motivated and talented Communications Manager to lead all communications at C4K. In this position, you will be in charge of producing high-quality content that engages our community and builds brand recognition. Your main duties will include creating informative content, press releases, blog posts, and creating media opportunities to share our story and the impact of our mission. Projects will also include managing our website, social media pages, email marketing, leading our messaging and general marketing initiatives. The Communications Manager will also be responsible for assisting with development and the project management of some fundraising initiatives.
Job Duties
Responsibilities
Communications
Manage and drive the implementation of effective outreach and communication campaigns to educate and cultivate community support, including:
- Develop, implement and evaluate the annual communications plan and budget
- Work with staff to develop and implement strategies to improve organizational visibility and public relations activities
- Manage C4K’s website
- Manage C4K’s social media
- Put communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness
- Develop, distribute and maintain all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to newsletters, brochures, posters, and annual reports, and C4K’s website
- Maintain consistent messaging across communication materials
- Manage all media contacts
Fundraising and Development
Responsible for supporting C4K’s fundraising goals including online giving, special campaigns, sponsorship and donor communications. Responsibilities include:
- Manage annual appeal process
- Manage gift recognition program
- Develop fundraising materials for donor recruitment, solicitation, and retention
- Support fundraising events
- Support donor recognition and stewardship activities
- Donor administrative activities
Skills Required
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Proficiency with social media platforms
At least 3 years of relevant experience
