Hogs & Kisses Farm Sanctuary, Inc. believes that all animals deserve love and respect, even the ones that typically end up on plates. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit micro-farm sanctuary with the mission of creating the best possible life for farm animals while inspiring compassion for all living beings. Our small but strong board is ready to expand and looking for a fourth board member.
This member will be responsible for fundraising activities for the year and engaging Board members to best leverage their skills and connections for fundraising.

Specific duties include:
• Creates an Annual Fundraising Plan to review with the board, including calendar of events, methods for growing donor base, and recruiting volunteers
• Engages in making connections, spreading the word, advocating for the mission, and networking in the community
• Leads and/or assists in executing fundraising events
• Provides training and/or education to board members about fundraising and how to ask for money
• Conducts success analysis of fundraising campaigns in order to repeat, grow, or improve activities
• Attends and participates in monthly board meetings with Board Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary

Skills required:
• Understanding of nonprofit fundraising practices, specifically animal welfare organizations
• Enjoys developing financial growth and having “money conversations”
• Strong financial, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Facilitation skills to plan and run fundraising campaigns
• Must be familiar with the nonprofit’s mission, history, and goals
• Maintains and develops a network of potential donors
• Ability to work with a variety of people (board, donors, volunteers, public, etc)

Highly preferred:
• Candidate who follows an ethical, vegan lifestyle, or rather eats plants-based, and considerations may be made on a case-by-case basis for candidates who are not
