Tuition Tuition for the program is $1,600 for individuals from CNE member organizations and $2,500 for nonmembers. Staff, board members, and volunteers of CNE member organizations qualify for the CNE member rate.
We encourage you to apply for professional development funds through your employer, if available, in order to offset your total cost of the program.
Board Academy Scholarships The Academy aims to widen the path to nonprofit board service and, in doing so, to increase the confidence and skills of individuals motivated to serve on nonprofit boards. Board Academy sponsors and scholarship underwriters, including many Board Academy alumni, allow us to defray tuition costs for class members whose tuition is not covered by their employer and who otherwise would not be able to attend the Academy due to financial need.
To better assist us in allocating available scholarship funds, please provide a brief statement explaining why you are applying for a scholarship and the amount of financial assistance you are requesting. While the maximum scholarship award is $1,350, requests may be partially funded, and the amount awarded may differ from the amount requested. Participants who receive a scholarship are responsible for covering any remaining tuition balance. To support accessibility, we offer the option to pay tuition in three monthly installments.
We do not require proof of income or other documentation. Please share what you are comfortable sharing and be assured that this information will remain confidential and only be used for the purposes of allocating Board Academy scholarships.
What level of support are you seeking for the scholarship? Every effort will be made to award a scholarship in the amount requested. However, due to limited funds, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be fully funded or that all applicants will receive a scholarship.
What level of support are you seeking for childcare (up to $200)? Please note, the childcare subsidy will not be made in the form of cash payment, but rather will be subtracted from the remaining balance once any scholarship funds have been applied.
