Volunteer Management Training Module 4: Intake & Onboarding
Volunteers play critical roles in nonprofit organizations. Are you looking to boost your nonprofit’s capacity with volunteers? This 6-part Volunteer Engagement and Management training includes sessions on establishing the framework, planning, recruiting, onboarding, supporting, and evaluating. Register for any and all that interest you.
In Module 4, Intake & Onboarding, on January 13th from 9 a.m. to noon, you’ll learn how to create systems to screen, place, orient, and train volunteers. This includes techniques for interviewing and matching volunteers with positions, designing effective volunteer orientation, and assessing and meeting volunteer training needs.
Objectives

- Define techniques for screening, interviewing and matching volunteers with positions.
- Describe the difference between and importance of orienting and training volunteers and staff.
- Design effective volunteer orientation.
- Assess training needs and design training to equip volunteers and staff.
