Melissa German

Melissa German joined CNE in July 2023 as Senior Manager of Learning & Impact at the PATH Resource Center. Melissa will work in Fauquier, Rappahannock, and Culpeper counties to establish relationships with community partners and provide high-quality customer service and technical support to nonprofits operating in the PATH Foundation footprint.

Melissa is a native Virginian who has dedicated her career in the nonprofit sector to advocating for children and families. She has worked for both large and small-sized nonprofits, starting with an internship at Whitman Walker Clinic that inspired her to improve access to equitable healthcare. Melissa has over 20 years of experience working locally with Fauquier Family Shelter Services and Fauquier Community Child Care (FCCC) in various roles, including direct service, event planning, donor management, and 15 years as the Executive Director of FCCC. In her free time, Melissa enjoys music, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband, Michael, and dog Maggie. She is also a trained yoga teacher who believes in the value of mindfulness and breath work.

Kadi Davis

Kadi supports CNE’s partnership programs and services throughout Central Virginia, building relationships and helping nonprofits to thrive in our partner communities. Prior to joining CNE as Membership Manager in 2016, Kadi served as Manager of the Markle Foundation’s Rework America initiative, a broad public-private collaborative aimed at expanding opportunities for employment and training. She has also worked as an attorney in both private practice and the public interest. Kadi holds a B.A. in English from the College of William and Mary and a J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law. She loves traveling, a good book, a hot cup of coffee, and her cat Chippy.

Cindy Colson

Cindy Colson serves as the Deputy Director of Partnerships and Consulting at CNE, where she oversees the development and delivery of a wide range of programs and services across Virginia. With extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, Cindy specializes in executive leadership development and board governance training. She works closely with nonprofits to foster governance and programmatic practices that are relevant, responsive, culturally informed, and ethically grounded. Her efforts advance CNE’s mission to create equitable, thriving, and just communities, driven by strong and healthy nonprofit organizations.

Cindy earned her BIS from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Mary Washington.
