The preferred hiring range is $20.14 – $33.42 ($41,889.72 – $69,511.38 Annually). Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. A Business Application Specialist serves as a Computer Software Administrator for a City administrative or service division with responsibility for managing one or more business applications modules. Works under the general direction of a division head or his/her designee.
Primarily and most frequently this work is performed as a team lead or project coordinator with broad functional areas and more expertise and strategic focus.

Skills Required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires an Associate’s Degree or its equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A minimum of two years of training and/or experience in ERP business applications.
- Three to five years of experience in supervising and/or performing the organization’s processing and reporting functions.
Skills:
Strong technical skills required. Knowledge of database security and user access privileges. Comprehensive data systems, procedures, and reporting functions. Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and databases. Critical-thinking, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to navigate applicable operating systems. Ability to communicate effectively both in orally and in writing. Excellent written and verbal skills; strong organizational skills; strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and automated systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and the public.
