Teach students at 6 week Summer Program (including 1 week training) at Oakland School & Camp

Teach small classes in subjects – Reading, English, or Math (hiring positions for each subject). May also carry out Reading One-to-Ones. You will work as part of a team serving students with learning differences ages 7-14 with in person instruction. . Must be flexible and a team player. Great organizational and written language skills are a must!

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

• Teach small, in-person Reading classes following a well-established program working with students with learning differences or who need reinforcement/catch-up in the subject
• One-on-one reading instruction
• Ensure the safety and supervision of students, children between the ages of 7 and 14
• Ensure the structure of the camp academics and provide mindful guidance to students

Skills Required

Qualifications:

• Virginia Teaching License in Special Education (Learning Disabilities), Elementary Education, or Reading (preferred)
• Great organizational and written language skills
• Flexible and a team player
• Enjoy working with school-aged children
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Work Schedule

Potential applicants would need to be available from Tuesday, June 20 to Monday, July 31 from 8:20 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Tuesday, June 20 through Friday, June 23 will be in-service days.
