Description
The Charlottesville Climate Collaborative (C3) is seeking applicants for a paid internship for the Summer of 2019. Environmental stewardship and action on climate are not woven deeply into what it means to be a Charlottesville resident and business. To address this, C3 was formed in late 2017 with the vision of building a Charlottesville culture of climate action. Our Mission is to catalyze community climate action through a collaborative and comprehensive approach, transforming our energy identity, and reducing climate pollution.
We run two programs: the Better Business Challenge, which is a friendly competition among area businesses and nonprofits to spur energy savings, sustainability innovation, and leadership and the Home Energy Challenge which is a program that helps households lower their carbon footprint by leveraging the power of social networks. We also convene various sectors of the community around climate to empower groups and be a resource for them.
