Description
Clinical Services – Abortion Care
• Dispensing Mifepristone or Misoprostol under MD orders as per the Whole Woman’s Health medical abortion protocol.
• Assisting the MD in Medical Abortion care visits.
• Performing ultrasounds, assisting in surgery or aftercare.
• Follow up visits for patients experiencing post-abortion problems.
Skills Required
Experience and General Requirements
• Possess a current Virginia state RN or LPN license
• 2+years’ nursing experience as a licensed RN and/or LPN
• 1+ years’ experience as a Women’s Health Nurse, Family Practice Nurse, or relevant Women’s Health specialty
• Certification in Basic Life Support
• Ideal candidate will be Bilingual – English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
Must have excellent visual and hearing acuity, as well as, excellent hand/eye coordination. S/he must possess the physical ability to lift 25 lbs. or more, stand, sit, twist, reach, and move freely through the clinic.
