Description

The Thomas Jefferson Foundation seeks candidates with public program coordination experience to develop and oversee the operations of public programs at Monticello. The Public Programs Coordinator will take the lead on coordinating and evaluating Monticello’s range of public programs for new and diverse audiences. They will also be instrumental in collaborating with staff members in a variety of departments and Monticello’s leadership team to ensure public programs are advancing strategic needs. A well-qualified candidate will possess at least two years of program coordination experience, an understanding of historic interpretation principles and practices, experience in implementing creative public programs for a range of audiences, a B.A. degree in a relevant field of study, and an ability to work some evenings and weekend days.
