Job Duties

Responsibilities:

•      Conduct packaging recyclability assessments
•      Process How2Recycle label requests and create custom labels
•      Spot packaging design opportunity areas for recyclability improvement
•      Build relationships with and gather insights from How2Recycle member companies
•      Collect, curate and refine information to share with How2Recycle team or members
•      Generate and edit content for public-facing materials such as websites and social media
•      Travel to 2-5 conferences and industry events each year for public speaking and network building
•      Schedule, prepare and conduct presentations for current and prospective H2R members or other stakeholders
•      Aggregate and share stakeholder feedback to project and operations teams
•      Investigate packaging sustainability challenges & opportunities
•      Develop recommendations for potential project and process improvement
•      Execute and implement new projects and processes within the How2Recycle program
•      Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Skills Required

Minimum Qualifications:

•      Excellent research and analysis skills
•      Excellent objective and persuasive writing skills
•      Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•      Ability to clarify, synthesize, and simplify complex ideas
•      Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
•      Microsoft Office & Google Apps
•      Adobe Creative Suite
•      Ability to work full time in our downtown Charlottesville office
