Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Programs Assistant provides general support to the Programs function of the Foundation. For the various grant programs, s/he administers the application processes, develops the required reports and documentation, and manages the database records and information. S/he organizes meeting logistics for the review committees and work with the Director of Programs to prepare meeting materials and information. S/he also responds to general inquiries about Foundation grant programs and works with the Director of Programs to prepare and distribute grantee correspondence.

Skills Required

The Program Assistant can manage multiple priorities and complete multiple tasks at any given time. S/he has good attention to detail and follows through on assigned tasks. S/he has a strong ability to problem-solve and find ways to optimize systems and programs to better achieve intended goals. S/he works well with other people and has strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in typing, electronic and paper filing, managing database programs and word processing is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other project management software is desired.
