Description
At Hope for Suffolk, we invest in the youth of our city through our farm work program and personal development training. In addition to paid work on our organic farm, our teenage interns receive training in skills such as conflict resolution, teamwork, resume writing, anger management and so much more. Interns receive community service hours for the workshops that they attend.
The Hope for Suffolk farm provides the settings for the transformation that we seek in our community. As people work together, share deeply, learn new skills, develop a positive reputation, become a part of something bigger than oneself and are connected to God’s creation in new ways – our whole city is changed.
We are looking for a Program Manager who is enthusiastic about Christian ministry and empowering youth.
We believe in asset based transformational development in which youth are affirmed as image bearers of God and challenged to pursue personal development. Through interactive workshops, on-the-job mentoring and engaging in supportive relationships, the Program Manager, along with a team of volunteers, invests in the growth of our youth interns.
