This position with the City of Charlottesville – Information Technology Department provides professional and technical support to the Department of Information Technology management team regarding issues impacting the department and its programs, policies, and operations. The incumbent assists in capital and operating budget preparation and management; handles departmental and citywide technology procurement and accounts payable; manages policies and procedures; and oversees the City’s Technology Asset Management Program.

Skills Required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires any combination of education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business administration, information technology, finance, communications, or other relevant fields. (Minimally, possession of a high school diploma or GED is required, and one and a half years of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of the required higher education.)
  • Requires at least three (3) years of experience in related field or occupation.
