Description

Strive for College helps underserved students get to college, graduate, and start their careers. We do so by matching them with volunteer mentors. Students and mentors work together virtually on Strive’s own online platform.

The Program Assistant will work closely with the Director of Partnerships to support relationships with corporate and nonprofit partners. This will include administrative work, such as entering data and running weekly data reports, and more collaborative work, such as communicating with partners about the program.

For the right candidate, the position could include responsibilities generating and cultivating new development opportunities, such as phone calls with potential partners to discuss the benefits of a Strive partnership.

A candidate with a degree in English (or related major) or demonstrated strength communicating in writing will have opportunity to support Strive through creating and editing Strive program curriculum and other written materials.

The position will be 10-20 hours per week.

Strive works with several large companies and foundations and has over 150 college partners. Strive is one of only a few college access organizations that serves students in all 50 states.
