Preschool Director

Description

Full time director for full day early childhood preschool program serving children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years.  Position begins June 2019.

Job Duties

1. Provide leadership, supervision and human resource management of teaching staff (3 teachers and 3-4 teaching assistants)
2. Liaison between preschool community and Park Street Christian Church community
3. Financial management of preschool program
4. Provide and coordinate professional development of program staff
5. Implementation of developmentally appropriate early childhood program curriculum
6. Maintain compliance with VA child care licensure requirements for religious exempt programs
7. Maintain positive, regular family/center communication
8. Maintain collaborative partnership with executive board of Park Street Christian Church
9. Organize and facilitate preschool sponsored fundraisers and PTO events
10. Support and assist teaching staff in development and implementation of positive behavior management plans

Skills Required

Bachelors degree in ECE or related field of study required.  Masters degree and experience preferred.  Must pass fingerprinting and background check requirements as outlined in VA childcare licensing standards for religious exempt programs.  Applicant must believe in and live according to the teachings of the Christian Church.

Work Schedule

Full time, year round.  Monday thru Friday
