Description
The Philanthropy Specialist is a member of JABA’s Philanthropy & Communications team. The philanthropy role will provide support with grant and foundation proposals, grant reports, and donor appeals. This role will also provide support with gift processing and month-end financial reconciliation of grants. This role will also lead communication and marketing efforts to donor audiences.
Job Duties
Essential Duties:
– Maintain proficient knowledge of JABA’s programs, goals, and financial needs;
– Assist with the creation and execution of the department’s philanthropic strategic plan;
– Assist with gift/donor processing; produce reports, mailing lists, and other data extractions as needed using the department’s CRM;
– Research and identify grant funding opportunities;
– Support the grant program, including content creation for proposals and applications, grant reports, donor newsletters, direct mailings, and case statements;
– Provide prospective donors with supporting documentation;
– Assists in the collection of attachments to support annual fund appeals and acknowledgment letters; assists in reviewing and developing annual planning activities;
– Maintain records in hard copies and computer databases;
– Develop and execute donor communication plans for multiple platforms and purposes to increase fundraising revenue for the organization;
– Other duties as needed.
