Description
Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the production elements that complement the daily program log and the systems that work in concert to execute a successful daily broadcast.
Job Duties
Responsibilities include: Oversee and maintain the systems critical to the execution of the broadcast sound, including RDS, Wide Orbit Automation, and Music Master; Host a weekday air shift, including daily prep work relevant to keeping the shift topical and fresh to the listeners; Conceptualize and produce daily and weekly written and recorded promotional material(s), both for use on-air and online, to reinforce on-air content used throughout the broadcast schedule; Reconcile daily logs; Contribute to the selection and evaluation of the music used to define the overall sound of the radio station; Assist other program hosts, full, part-time and volunteer with the elements of their shifts and shows to ensure continuity and professionalism.
Skills Required
Requirements: 3-5 years of experience hosting an air shift, AAA format preferred; Minimum 2 years of proficiency with Wide Orbit Automation and Music Master; Excellent production skills and communication both written and verbal; ability to be onsite when needed, including nights and weekends.
