Free Clinic in Greene County seeking detail-oriented and organized applicants for Office Coordinator position. Position requires ability to design, implement and maintain all aspects of office management, including maintaining medical files, supporting clinic functions, and coordinating community outreach. Skill, energy, and passion for serving the uninsured a must, as well as ability to work independently and in collaboration. Job Duties

The Office Coordinator is a critical team member who provides excellent first impressions and service to our clients and community.  This position is responsible for Front Office and Outreach Coordination.  This team member will be successful with an outgoing, friendly and empathetic demeanor and ability to communicate clearly and effectively as they perform or support for the following duties:
  1. Front Office Coordination including checking in patients, scheduling appointments, completing new patient paperwork
  2. Manage patient charts, organize files and documents and facilitate patient flow during clinic hours
  3. Conduct eligibility/financial screening and make referrals for Medicaid
  4. Schedule patient diagnostic tests /labs and follow up where necessary to ensure patient follow through
  5. Respond to patient questions, determine need and consult with medical staff if appropriate
  6. Manage office mail and follow procedures for handling donations and deposits
  7. Manage Medication Assistance Program including handling medications and communicating with patients
  8. Actively support the marketing and outreach projects, tasks and activities including but not limited to preparation of materials and logistics to support events, outreach to groups and individuals, attending community events, disseminating marketing messages in print, electronic and through social media

Skills Required

  • Previous experience in a medical office preferred
  • People oriented with a strong focus on customer service
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proficient Microsoft User (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • An organized and effective time manager
  • Critical thinker with the ability to problem solve
  • Some experience with community outreach or marketing
  • Social media savvy
  • High school graduate (some college is a plus)
  • Knowledge of community programs, healthcare systems and Greene County preferred

Work Schedule

Flexible schedule during the week with regular office hours: 8:30 -12:30 2 times a week
