The Membership, Social Media, and Marketing Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance membership recruitment and retention, manage global associations’ social media presence, and execute marketing campaigns. This role requires a dynamic individual who can balance multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively with various teams to achieve the associations’ objectives.

Job Duties

Membership Management:
Recruitment and Retention: Develop and implement strategies to recruit new members and retain existing ones. Oversee the membership application process and ensure a seamless experience for members.
Reporting: Analyze reports on membership metrics and recommend/develop new member programs and services. Provide insights and data to support strategic decisions.

Social Media/Community Management:
Strategy Development: Direct and implement the organization’s online strategy in social channels and existing online communities, managing engagement and activity within its audience, and fostering relationships. Ensure consistency in voice and cultivate a strong community online.
Content Creation: Coordinate and execute specific tasks associated with the implementation of social media plans and activities. Tasks may include copy-editing, copywriting, photography, and working with program teams to develop/finalize copy, graphic design, and website content.
Monitoring and Engagement: Manage social media accounts, monitor engagement, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online presence. Review analytics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of social media efforts.

Marketing Activities:
Campaign Management: Develop and implement marketing plans and activities for specific projects and programs of the association. Work closely with program managers and key volunteers to ensure successful execution.
Collateral Development: Guide and assist with the development and distribution of print and electronic marketing collateral. Ensure that marketing materials are consistent with the association’s brand and messaging.
Performance Tracking: Manage tracking systems to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Provide regular updates and reports on campaign performance and ROI.

This position requires virtual meeting attendance (Zoom, Teams).
This position may require occasional travel to attend events and meetings.
