Description

We are looking for a Primary (3-6) Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year in an established classroom at our Gordon Ave location.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children aged 3-6 years using the Montessori method.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include: supporting Montessori Philosophy and children’s social-emotional development, planning and recording lessons, ongoing observation, maintaining clean and orderly classroom spaces with the help of the children and other adults, communicating with families and other staff, ensuring safe supervision of children, and amplifying respect and joy in our community.

Skills Required

Candidates should hold Children’s House/Primary certification from a MACTE-accredited training center or be willing to begin training before starting work and have previous experience in an early childhood setting.
We are looking for individuals who will be committed to upholding Montessori techniques and philosophy while supporting colleagues and families with an emphasis on collaboration and support. Candidates must be reliable, consistent, and flexible; love and understand children; and be able to spend time on the floor/easily get down to children’s level.
Punctuality and strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is a deep respect for children and our environment. We strive to create to a joyful, diverse, and peaceful school.
