Description

Infant and Toddler Specialist – Full Time, 40 Hours per week

Responsible for the following job duties:

• Designs, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates training and professional development throughout Ready Region Blue Ridge to increase the capacity of early care and education programs (child care centers and family day homes) to deliver high quality services to infants and toddlers.

Successful candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in infant and toddler or early childhood education, child development, human services, social work or related field required.
• A minimum of two years of infant and toddler experience, with five years of experience preferred, or any combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in infant and toddler development, and experience with child care or other early care settings.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and motor vehicle insurance policy required.
• Able to travel throughout the region, including overnight travel as needed.

Initial and ongoing training throughout employment is provided.
