Graphic Design Specialist

Description

The Jefferson Area Board for Aging seeks a talented and personable Graphic Design Specialist with experience in print and electronic media.

You will work as an important member of JABA’s small, but mighty Philanthropy & Communications team to produce both branded marketing materials and donor communications that relay the missions of JABA and its affiliate, Mountainside Senior Living.

Position: Graphic Design Specialist

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Schedule: TBD but Flexible – 20 hours weekly

Wage: DOE

Quick turnarounds are common, so flexibility is critical for success in this position. The ideal candidate will be innovative, excited about digital technologies and trends, have superb writing skills. paired with the ability to create designs that are clear, compelling and visually appealing.

Skills Needed:

• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Candidates invited to interview will be asked to bring in a portfolio/examples of past work
• Familiarity with digital ad platforms on social media, including Facebook and Google and the ability to interpret analytics to evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with individuals of all backgrounds, including board members, donors, volunteers and staff
• Prior experience with photography a plus
