Description

CIMA seeks a part-time (20-hours per week) teammate to support grants administration in close collaboration with three CIMA consultants. This position will play an integral role in ensuring cohesive, efficient, and productive engagement with a large environmental client.

This position is part-time with potential for transition to full-time pending client needs and fit at CIMA. Our team is primarily based in Charlottesville and surrounding areas, but we have a hybrid, flexible-work schedule. While our preference is for team members to be based in Charlottesville, qualified candidates wishing to work remotely will be considered.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
Supporting the team in grant submission and reporting, including: navigating grant submission portals, preparing budgets and financial reports, compiling supplemental materials, and formatting and uploading materials in accordance to funder guidelines.
Continuously updating the team’s standard supplemental materials for proposals and the team’s language library, ensuring content is up-to-date and easily accessible
Contributing to team meetings by setting agendas, taking notes, and ensuring timely reporting-out
Managing the team’s shared deadlines calendars to ensure that all deliverables are completed and submitted in a timely manner
Support the team with research (including prospecting), writing, and proofreading as needed

Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have:
Proven success in a development/grant coordinator or management role, and/or a track record of performing a wide variety of administrative, research, and financial tasks in a collaborative environment
Proven ability to independently collect, manage, and interpret information from multiple sources
Experience working in a remote environment and using standard office software/platforms (Excel, Drive, Airtable, etc)
A demonstrated appreciation for or commitment to the nonprofit sector

Qualities we consider essential for CIMA team members:
Extremely organized and self-motivated, able to prioritize multiple deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills (communication and relationship building)
Willing to collaborate, take direction and ask thoughtful questions, then work independently to complete tasks
Keen writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, intellectual environment, with the feel of a start-up; willingness to listen, collaborate, and seize opportunities for growth
Flexibility, dedication, and the ability to laugh at one’s self (and others, but only in a nice way)
An understanding and appreciation of DEI principles
