State Senator Creigh Deeds seeks an experienced Field Organizer to join his campaign for Virginia’s 11th Senate District. Field Organizer is a full-time, in-person
opportunity based in Charlottesville, VA that will be offered from March until July 2023.

Job Duties

Field Organizer Responsibilities
● Identify, persuade, and mobilize voters in Senate District 11 via door knocking
and phone banking
● Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers and interns to achieve programmatic
voter contact goals on behalf of Senator Deeds
● Establish and grow long lasting volunteer infrastructure local to Senate District
11 by collaborating with community leaders and stakeholders
● Meet daily reporting and data entry deadlines

● Commitment to re-electing a progressive, incumbent Democrat
● Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
● Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends on a semi-regular basis
● A true self-starter who is a detail-oriented team player
● Strong organization skills, and attention to detail
● Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working within the Charlottesville, VA area or within the
boundaries of Senate District 11 is strongly preferred
● Experience with VoteBuilder and G-Suite applications is strongly preferred
● Experience working in/on a political campaign or relative community
organizing experience is preferred
