Description

Georgia’s Friends is hiring a part-time Executive Director to guide the organization on a path of growth and manage implementation of its core mission of providing programs and services to help women overcome addiction in our community.

This is a position for someone looking to fully lead our organization and will be given authority and latitude to execute a growth plan that falls under the larger goals of the organization as set by the Board of Directors. You will be responsible for fundraising, budget management, and oversight of the fiscal health of the organization. In collaboration with the Board of Directors, you will implement the organization’s strategic plan, develop donor relationships, and be an active part of the marketing/communications team.

You will also oversee and manage the staff of Georgia’s House, a peer recovery residence for women dealing with drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges. You will be responsible for leading a care team of Georgia’s House staff members, using communication skills and an encouraging team approach to create a more unified care plan for residents.

This is a part-time (24 hours per week) exempt position with a starting salary of $34,000.  We are prioritizing candidates who demonstrate a long-term interest and commitment to strengthening and growing our organization. Depending on fundraising and future needs of the organization, this position could become full-time in the future.

Skills Required

We need you to be:

●      Experienced in nonprofit leadership and management

●      Excellent at oral and written communication

●      Experienced in development, grant-writing, and fundraising

●      Able to facilitate teamwork within a diverse community

●      Entrepreneurial

●      Excited by our mission

●      BA/BS degree

●      Able to perform basic computer skills and possessing knowledge of office management systems and procedures
