Description

Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) seeks a thoughtful, entrepreneurial, and equity-centered leader to serve as its next Executive Director. Since 2005, CNE has been the primary resource for the region’s nonprofit sector by providing workshops, training, education, resources, and other tools to help nonprofit organizations and their leaders grow and thrive.

The Executive Director (ED) will lead CNE into its next chapter of growth, building upon the existing excellent programs and services, through strategic, inclusive, and empowering internal and external leadership; partnership building and nurturing both locally and throughout the Commonwealth; social impact sector thought leadership; advocacy; fundraising, and a deep commitment to the role nonprofits can play in building equitable, thriving, and just communities.

Reporting to, and working in close collaboration with, the Board of Directors, and supported by a strong leadership team, the Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence. The Executive Director serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and leads internal staff teams focused on learning and impact, advancement, operations, and stewards external relationship building for CNE.

The ED is a transparent and collaborative leader with a commitment to building and leading an anti-racist organization and to understanding and countering all systems of oppression within the sector. The successful candidate will have a genuine understanding of, and passion for, the vision, mission, and values of CNE, significant nonprofit (or related entity) leadership experience, and a desire to build, nurture, and promote equitable, thriving, and just communities powered by healthy nonprofits. The ED will work in close partnership with the Board on organizational and financial planning and identifying the appropriate resources and infrastructure needed to bring about change and growth.
