Description

Barrett Early Learning Center is seeking a new Executive Director. For over 80 years Barrett has provided a safe and nurturing learning environment for children. We are the longest running day care facility in the state of Virginia. Our Center cares for up to 50 children, ranging in age from two- to five-years-old.

The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in early childhood education or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience. Required duties include, but are not limited to:

• managing the daily operations of the center,
• fostering a safe and learning environment for the children,
• overseeing licensure requirements and ensuring compliance with all state and local health and safety regulations,
• supervising and supporting a 6-8 member staff,
• working to build rapport and develop relationships with our families,
• building and maintaining strong community partnerships,
• and working effectively with the Board of Directors to manage the budget and carry out the strategic plan.
