Description
Wildrock, a nature play and exploratory center (www.wildrock.org), seeks a qualified subcontractor to design, plan, market and host special events, birthday parties, and other rental events. Payment will be a set fee per event and will include the planning time, hosting of the event, and clean-up time.
Skills Required
Applicant must be willing to work independently, feel comfortable in a wilderness setting, agreeable to learning Wilderness First Aid in a weekend training, and passionate about Wildrock’s mission. Professional experience working with children required. Teachers highly encouraged to apply. Experience planning nature-based programming desired. Must have excellent organizational, marketing, and people skills. In 2017, we anticipate Wildrock will host two major events and several smaller family parties. Most events will occur on Friday afternoons, weekends and on holidays making this an ideal position for someone seeking a second job or a new career in event planning.
