Director of Finance and Operations

Tandem Friends School seeks an experienced and seasoned professional with demonstrated financial, management and interpersonal skills to join our school community as our new Director of Finance and Operations. Collaborating with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, staff and faculty, the Director of Finance and Operations manages and oversees the school’s operations and financial strategies and plays an integral role in ensuring compliance with essential human resource practices.

We seek candidates with experience managing school business operations, preferably with evidence of strong understanding of finance, facility management, and risk management, and the highest level of integrity, ethical standards and a strong work ethic. A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required; MBA, CPA or CMA highly desired. Candidates should have 10+ years experience in financial management, non-profit, auditing, budget preparation, and investment management. Independent school experience is highly desired. This is an exempt position.
