Description

Foxfield Racing LLC, established in 2020, emerged from the collective efforts of community members to put the Foxfield property under conservation easement and reestablish the property and the races as a community event that all would be proud to support. Foxfield has had seven races under the new management group that have created enthusiastic community support, reoccurring corporate sponsorship, and over $300,000 in support to its two long-term philanthropic partners, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville and Camp Holiday Trails.

Foxfield seeks to hire a full time Director of Advancement to generate individual and corporate donations and sponsorships, as well as develop a capital campaign in the next two years. The position is charged with identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts, from a portfolio of current and prospective donors. Support of Foxfield allows us to make strategic investments to the facility to host top-tier steeplechase events twice a year. Workload varies depending on the time of year. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent communication, organization, relationship driven, and results oriented productivity with a proven track record in fundraising and development. Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector. The Director of Advancement will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Board to achieve fundraising goals and support the success of Foxfield.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:

• Foxfield 500 Sponsor (corporate) solicitation and relations
• Business sponsor (corporate or other) solicitation and relations
• Foxfield Founders Circle (individual) solicitation and relations
• Develop and execute a Capital Campaign to raise funds for major property enhancements
• Collaborate with Executive Director on:
o Sponsor Organization and Race Day Management
o Sponsorships – Communicate, plan, and support sponsors of all levels
o Foxfield 500 Tent coordination – Execution of planning and preparation for groups attending races
o Annual report and race wrap up reports
o Development of future programs and strategic planning

Skills Required
