We are seeking a Director, Client Services for our client project: HOMES a growing, non-profit organization using an all-encompassing approach to housing challenging the misconceptions of what defines affordable housing through the production and preservation of high-quality affordable homes, large-scale home repairs, and improved accessibility and energy efficiency for existing homes.
The Director is responsible for the supervision of the energy conservations client services team to provide accurate intake service for the department’s programs, assure timely response to clients, maintain accurate records, help raise community awareness of services, foster partner relations and work with all department staff to meet production goals. The role reports to the VP, Energy Conservation Programs and requires the ability to manage diverse staff, strong multi-tasking skills, good organizational skills, and the commitment to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner. The organization budget is approximately $18M with about 50 employees located in Richmond, VA, with easy access on and off the Midlothian Turnpike and Chippenham Parkway. Job Duties
Summary of Job Responsibilities and Requirements
• Manages full-time on-site staff of three to five to achieve production goals related to Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and utility budget demands.
• Guides staff to respond to client enquiries in a timely fashion and utilize call log system.
• Oversees the processing of applications to assure accuracy, efficient handling, proper record keeping and safe storage of client information.
• Reviews staff work to ensure compliance with grant requirements, state, and federal regulations.
• Manages staff’s data entry across multiple software platforms including Hancock, CAMS, Apricot, and Resource Innovation’s cloud database.
• Guides staff to schedule energy auditors and Quality Control Inspector (QCI) site visits.
• Provides guidance to help create quality publicity materials such as: printed brochures, ads, website, and social media opportunities.
• Serves as the department’s liaison for client services as needed within the agency and with appropriate external partners. For example: DHCD, Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and Utility partners.
• Assist CEO and VP with sourcing new agency partner opportunities.
• Supports project:HOMES chain of command and seeks to work effectively with team.
• Perform additional responsibilities related to the success of the organization.
Skills Required
Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working with the public / customer service strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with affordable housing, energy conservation, social services or related area(s) are desirable.
• Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, various teleconferencing platforms, as well as experience with iOS software and standard office equipment.
• Promotes and adheres to the company’s mission, vision and values, policies, and applicable laws in a fair and equitable manner.
• Represents the organization in a professional manner to all customers, vendors, and internal personnel.
• Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties and business demand. Potential for some teleworking.
