Position Overview:
PHAR is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Development and Communications Manager to lead our fundraising and community engagement efforts on a part-time basis. This crucial role will drive our organization’s financial sustainability through strategic development initiatives and build meaningful connections with our supporters through compelling communications. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in fundraising, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for advancing PHAR’s mission.

Job Duties
Development:
-Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual appeals, major gift cultivation, grant writing, and planned giving.
-Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
-Manage grant research, proposal writing, and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
-Oversee donor database management and reporting, providing insights to inform fundraising strategies.
-Plan and execute successful fundraising events, from conception to post-event follow-up, maximizing revenue and engagement.
Communications:
-Develop and implement strategic communication plans to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
-Create compelling content for various channels, including website, social media, email newsletters, and print materials.
-Manage and grow our social media presence, fostering online community and engagement.
-Develop and implement effective email marketing campaigns to cultivate relationships and drive action.
-Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, managing media inquiries and securing positive coverage.
Skills Required
-Proven track record of success in fundraising, with demonstrated experience in major gift cultivation and grant writing.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
-Strong understanding of fundraising principles, best practices, and ethical standards.
-Proficiency in donor database management and CRM systems.
-Experience with social media management, email marketing platforms, and website content management systems.
-Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule
