Description
You will strengthen donor relationships and grow donor base through strategic management, communications and outreach, playing a crucial role in driving the fundraising efforts that fuel our organization’s mission and strategic goals.
Job Duties
You will undergird our nonprofit’s mission with solid donor engagement and community outreach. Among the responsibilities of the role are:
• Maintain all aspects of our donor management programs, from recording incoming donations to planning and operating fundraising campaigns and events, to developing donor prospects.
• Assemble and post regularly on social media and send out monthly e-newsletters, as well as write and send fundraising appeals during campaigns.
• Work closely with the Board Chair, Executive Director and others to provide relevant data, develop strategic plans and support fundraising through meetings and social events
Skills Required
• 2-3 years of experience with nonprofit management and/or fundraising
• A bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Solid computer skills, including knowledge of data management/donor tracking software, WordPress, use of social media and other communications/outreach programs
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks and report progress independently
• Adherence to ethical fundraising practices and donor rapport
• Experience in journalism or public relations is a plus
Work Schedule
JOB TYPE: Part-time with possibility for growth. Estimated avg. 15-20 hours per week.
WORKPLACE TYPE: Hybrid eligible for someone who lives in Rappahannock or adjacent county.
