The Community Idea Stations is seeking a Coordinator for our Charlottesville Community Engagement efforts. This is a full time position with benefits and reports to the Charlottesville Community Engagement Manager.

Job Duties

This position will provide excellent customer service and administrative support to the WHTJ/WVPT office by greeting the public in person and on the phone, answering questions about programming and membership, and ordering promotional materials and supplies. This position will support the Community Engagement Manager to plan and execute outreach, events, and activities in the Charlottesville area. This position will also cultivate and manage volunteers in the Charlottesville area, to include a Community Station Board.

Skills Required

Successful candidates should have experience working in a non-profit organization or in a customer service related field and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.   Candidates should have strong MS Office skills with preferred experience in relational databases. Candidates should be willing to work as needed during day, evening, and weekend hours. This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift thirty pounds.
