Description

The Assistant Manager, Volunteers & Operations, is an integral member of the Twice is Nice management team and is responsible for all aspects of volunteer management, including recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, outreach and appreciation, as well as leading the Volunteer Advisory Committee. This is a full-time position with benefits. In addition, the Assistant Manager is in charge of the weekly cashier and customer service schedule and is expected to perform a number of operational duties, as enumerated below. The Assistant Manager has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude, is prepared to help wherever help is needed, and serves as a professional role model to over 125 volunteers and staff.

Job Duties

All volunteer related tasks and engagement: recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, initial orientation, training, placement, follow up, appreciation events, monthly newsletter, monthly volunteer hours.
Oversee and facilitate Volunteer Advisory Committee.
Oversee and maintain donor database, weekly newsletter list, active volunteer list.
Responsible for weekly cashier and customer service schedule.
Floor hours as designated “manager on duty”.
Oversee thank you notes.
Assist with incoming donations, unloading van, moving furniture as needed.
Assist with operational duties.
Community outreach with local groups, i.e. the Center at Belvedere, Chamber of Commerce, Madison House.
Respond to Facebook Marketplace inquiries (average 13 per week) as needed.
Take care of van: monitor fuel, track maintenance, inspection, and licensing.

Strong computer skills, Microsoft, Google. Familiarity with Mailchimp, Facebook Marketplace, Clover POS a plus.
Able to handle the physical demands of the job.
Some Saturday hours.

40 hours per week in store. Schedule will vary due to rotating Saturday hours
