The Office of Advancement in UVA’s School of Engineering seeks an Assistant Director of Advancement Communications. This position will report to the Director of Campaign Initiatives and will play a leadership role on our growing, highly-integrated, and collaborative advancement team pursuing ambitious fundraising goals leading into UVA’s Third Century Campaign.
The Assistant Director of Advancement Communications will perform a dual role in corporation and foundation relations and strategic communications. In addition to establishing and growing partnerships with foundations and corporations, the position will work also closely with the Director of Communications to develop print and media content, collateral pieces, and marketing materials.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. In addition to holding a bachelor’s or higher degree, the ideal candidate will have at least five years of development, communications, and/or corporate and foundation-related experience.
