OFFICE MANAGER/BOOKKEEPER (FULL-TIME)
SALARY RANGE: $45,000 to $55,000

OVERVIEW
The Office Manager/Bookkeeper provides support to the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic
Development (Partnership) and the Growth & Opportunity Virginia (GO Virginia) Region 9 Council. The
Partnership, a not-for-profit public/private partnership, is the regional economic development
organization for Central Virginia. Its mission is to expand investment in a strategic, responsible and
sustainable manner to provide career ladder job opportunities for the region’s resident workforce. The
Partnership also acts as the support organization for GO Virginia Region 9, a statewide initiative focused
on regional collaboration.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Office Manager provides bookkeeping and administrative support for the Partnership, including GO
Virginia Region 9. This position will support Partnership activities 50% of the time and GO Virginia
activities 50% of the time. The individual in this role will work closely with the Partnership President and
the GO Virginia Director to carry out duties as assigned.

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
• Handle bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, deposits, and obtaining signatures
• Manage payroll and bookkeeping on a timely basis
• Responsible for organizing, scanning, and tracking bookkeeping documentation
• Become technical lead for state CAMS system and in-house accounting system
• Identify bookkeeping workflow issues and recommend steps for process improvement
• Create financial reports, as needed

Administrative Responsibilities:
• Coordinate office operations such as security access, office machines, information technology
maintenance and function, facility issues, and phone and Internet service, etc.
• Troubleshoot office technology such as computer, phone or printer functionality
• Help prepare for Board, Council, and Committee meetings including: coordinate arrangements,
prepare handouts, set-up for in-house and external meetings, and possibly record Minutes
• Resolve administrative problems and inquiries
• Assist with GO Virginia project tracking and contract management, as needed
• Handle general clerical duties including telephone inquiries, mail, filing, photocopying, and fax
• Maintain office supply inventories
• Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
• Maintain updated information on website
• Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments
• Maintain and update site selectors contact database
• Carry out other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/BACKGROUND
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous office and bookkeeping experience required
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills including ability to prioritize multiple tasks and
accomplish assignment in a timely manner
• Overall computer competency; proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, other
computer applications and database software programs
