Description

Community Child Care, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, energetic Executive Director as its key management leader. The Executive Director responsibilities encompass all aspects of child care center operation and management.

The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

 

 

Job Duties

Essential Functions & Duties:

  • Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions, financial review, and fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the organization
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff to set and monitor goals.
  • Plan and oversee operation of annual budget.
  • Review and administer employment and other policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the nonprofit.
  • Serve as Community Child Care’s primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, the media and the general public.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the state and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance Community Child Care’s mission.
  • Conduct and implement strategic planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

 

Skills Required

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred) 
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrating integrity and transparency
  • Passion for children and strong commitment to preschool education
  • Hands-on financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff cultivate staff engagement and team collaboration through encouragement and positive feedback
  • Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
  • Ability to convey a vision of Community Child Care’s strategic future to staff, board, volunteers and donors
  • Ability to collaborate with and motivate staff, board members and other volunteers
  • Familiarity with nonprofit organizations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong public speaking skills
