Vice Chair

The LNE Vice Chair of our board will primarily act as the Chair’s deputy, supporting the LNE Chair and assuming the role in their absence. They also contribute to the overall leadership, may serve on committees, and help manage board member training and engagement.

Here’s a more detailed look at the Vice Chair’s responsibilities:

1. Supporting the Chair:
Acting as a sounding board and providing guidance to the Chair.
Assisting with planning board meetings and agendas.
Helping to delegate tasks and ensure a manageable workload for the Chair.
Facilitating communication and collaboration among board members.

2. Assuming the Chair’s Role:
Chairs board meetings when the Chair is absent.
Carries out the Chair’s duties, including executing official documents and attending official functions.
May be designated as the Chair-Elect or Chair-in-Waiting, preparing to take on the role in the future.

3. Additional Responsibilities:
Serving on committees as assigned.
Contributing to board member training and development.
Helping to ensure that the board is functioning effectively and fulfilling its governance responsibilities.
May be responsible for managing conflict of interest issues.
May supervise formal assessments of the board’s operations.
May help plan board and team outings, meetings, trainings, and retreats.

Board Financial Commitment

All board members contribute a minimum of $10 per month for a total of $120 per year with the option to contribute more.
