Description
McGuffey Art Association is searching for a Development Director for a one year contract position with potential for growth. McGuffey Art Center supports the development of its resident and associate artists and fosters community engagement in the arts through multidisciplinary classes, gallery exhibits, performances and other special programs for children, teens, adults and families.

Skills Required
- College graduate with a B.A.
- General knowledge and understanding of art center programs such as exhibition and education activities and must have a passion for the arts and artists.
- Proven experience as a fundraiser.
- Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Council, staff, membership, and other arts organizations.
Work Schedule
The position is part-time salaried. Most hours will be predominantly weekdays, but applicants may be available to work occasional Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
Additional Info
- Increase the Center’s visibility, image, and role in the community and strengthen community relationships.
- Implement new ideas.
- Fundraising activities including grant research and application, sponsorships and donations, and other financial strategies.
- Oversees the committees relating to marketing, public relations, membership, media/the web and program development, in collaboration with the appropriate committees.
- Effectively works with the Executive Council and Operation Manager to ensure all key goals are met. Must understand the Center’s policies, procedures, laws and regulations works with the Executive Council and monitors the Center’s compliance.
