CIC is expanding into Southern Virginia, and we’re seeking an entrepreneurial and engaging Loan Officer to play a crucial role in this growth. The position will be at the forefront of bringing microloan and financing options to small business owners in Southern Virginia, focusing on the cities of Danville and Martinsville and the counties of Pittsylvania, Henry, and Patrick. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the region’s economic landscape by providing vital access to capital and comprehensive support for under-resourced entrepreneurs, contributing to economic development and community strengthening through our inclusive and collaborative approach.

The Loan Officer works directly with entrepreneurs to support them during the loan application process and conducts regular check-ins after loans are made. The role will require significant travel throughout 15 counties in southern Virginia, with a focus in the greater Danville and Martinsville area. The ideal candidate would be self-motivating, strong in both independent and collaborative work, and comfortable and skilled in having engaging conversations.
