Description
The Assistant Director will support the Executive Director in managing daily operations, overseeing staff and programs, and ensuring the successful implementation of our mission. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, community outreach, and some fundraising activities.
Job Duties
• Assist in the development and implementation of organizational strategies and policies
• Oversee day-to-day operations and program activities
• Supervise, coordinate, and support program staff and volunteers
• Foster relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders
• Assist in grant writing, fundraising events, and donor communications
• Oversee collaborative implementation of community needs assessment along with Community Schools Director and City of Promise Executive Director
• Support the monitoring and evaluation program outcomes and impact
• Represent City of Promise at community events and meetings
Skills Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Education, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit management or a related field
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in fundraising
• Commitment to the mission and values of City of Promise
• Must be willing to work in person
