Description
The Office of Advancement in the School of Engineering seeks an Assistant Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations responsible for driving a comprehensive donor relations strategy, including stewardship and events which will be integrated into the larger institutional advancement strategy. Through meaningful and consistent contact with donors, he or she will foster positive, life-long relationships between constituents and the School.
This role will report to the Director of Campaign Initiatives and support our growing, highly-integrated, and collaborative advancement team in working hard to pursue ambitious fundraising goals leading into the University’s multi-billion-dollar Third Century Campaign.
The Assistant Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations will develop a plan that builds loyalty among donors to encourage repeat giving. A significant focus will be placed on keeping donors informed as well as instilling in them confidence that their gifts are a critical investment in the continued success of the School. The role will also be responsible for planning and executing 20+ events annually, including board meetings, receptions, football tailgates, faculty panels, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as are a high level of organization, strong project management skills, an understanding of individual donor needs and requirements, and ability to move projects forward under tight deadlines while maintaining a calm and positive outlook.
