Mariane Asad Doyle

Dr. Mariane Asad Doyle serves as the Executive Director and CEO of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, where she works alongside more than 2,400 nonprofit organizations to strengthen leadership, organizational effectiveness, and cross-sector collaboration throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience spanning nonprofit, higher education, and public education, Dr. Doyle has dedicated her career to helping leaders build strong teams, sustainable organizations, and thriving communities. A SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), she previously served as a district executive overseeing human resources, labor relations, talent strategy, employee engagement, organizational development, and career technical and adult education for one of California’s largest K–12 school districts.

In addition to her work with the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, she serves as Board Chair of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she champions the importance of a strong and inclusive economy that recognizes the vital contributions of the nonprofit, public, and private sectors working together.

Dr. Doyle is also a respected educator and speaker. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Higher Education, has taught university courses on leadership and organizational development, and has spent many years equipping leaders through professional development, executive coaching, and keynote speaking across the country.

Her work centers on a powerful idea: that leadership, when grounded in purpose, people, and partnership, strengthens organizations and expands opportunity for communities.
